What We Do
Full-service concrete for Lee's Summit residential and commercial properties.
LS Concrete Contractors handles driveways, patios, pool decks, sidewalks, stamped and decorative concrete, retaining walls, and concrete repair and replacement for residential clients. On the commercial side: foundations, sitework, parking lots, warehouse and industrial floors, ADA ramps, curbs, and gutters.
We're based at 514 NW Main St in Lee's Summit. Most of our work is in Jackson County and the surrounding KC suburbs — areas where we know the soil conditions, drainage patterns, and freeze-thaw exposure well enough to build scopes around them.
Local Concrete Conditions
Lee's Summit isn't a generic concrete market. We build every scope around what's actually here.
Five conditions shape how concrete should be installed and specified in Lee's Summit and the KC metro. Shortcuts on any of them show up as failure within a few years. We account for all five, every time.
Clay Soil Movement
Expansive clay swells with moisture and contracts when dry. That seasonal cycling stresses slabs from below — compaction depth and base thickness account for it.
Freeze-Thaw Cycles
Repeated KC winters mean freeze-thaw stress on every exterior surface. Air-entrained mixes reduce scaling. Most KC slab spalling traces to exterior concrete not specified for this climate.
Deicer Exposure
Salt and chemical deicers damage surfaces that weren't sealed or mix-designed for the exposure. We seal exterior flatwork and specify deicer-resistant mixes for driveways and parking areas.
Drainage Requirements
Flatwork without drainage planning creates problems — runoff toward foundations, pooling along slab edges, and freeze damage at perimeters. We design drainage before forming.
Base Preparation
Most KC concrete failures in the first few years trace to base prep shortcuts. We don't skip the work that doesn't show on the surface — it's where the job is actually won or lost.
How We Work
Site visit, honest diagnosis, written scope, no surprises.
We don't quote jobs over the phone that require seeing the site. If the scope changes because of something we find — unexpected subbase conditions, drainage that needs addressing first — we tell you before it affects cost.

Site Visit
We come to the site before quoting. Most scopes require seeing the soil, drainage, and existing conditions in person.
Diagnose & Scope
We assess the existing concrete, base, and drainage before recommending repair, resurfacing, or replacement.
Written Scope
You receive a written scope with clear pricing before work starts. No line items added after the pour.
Prep, Pour, Walkthrough
Base prep, forming, pour, finish, and cure. We walk the finished work with you before we leave.
Who We Serve
Residential homeowners to commercial contractors — one scope standard across both.
